Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Associate's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). In lieu of an Associate’s degree, two [2] years of directly related full-time experience or a combination of education and experience totaling two [2] years may be considered. Experience working in at least one of the following technical areas: Stage electrics, stage carpentry, stage rigging, costuming, theater sound video projection and associated terminology.

Preferred Qualifications:
Supervisory stage work experience. Experience in more than one of the following technical areas: Stage electrics, stage carpentry, stage rigging, costuming, theater sound and associated terminology. Prior experience working in an Arts Center.

Brief Description of Duties:
Fill crew requirements for stage productions, load-ins, load-outs, installations, maintenance of stage spaces.

Duties:

  • Assist in the loading and unloading of scenery and stage equipment as required by incoming performing companies.
  • Installation of lighting, scenery or flying scenery or costume maintenance and repair for a production.
  • Work as part of a running crew for a production.
  • Assist in the design or execution of either lighting, sound, rigging, scenery or costumes.
  • Operate, adapt, repair theatrical technical equipment.
  • Assist in the design or execution of either lighting, sound, rigging, scenery or costumes.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.


Special Notes:
This is a part-time appointment. FLSA Non-Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.

Evening and weekend work may be required at times.
