Located at the Ron Joyce Children's Health Centre (RJCHC), the McMaster Children’s Hospital Autism Program is an ambulatory service for children and youth with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. These services have strong links to McMaster University’s Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry, McMaster Autism Research Team (MacART) and the Offord Centre for Child Studies.
The Autism Program Data Analyst will be responsible for the coordination and maintenance of new and existing databases, dashboards, and other measurement systems as identified, responding to program data and information needs, and reporting for internal (e.g., program evaluation) and external purposes (e.g., Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS)).
The incumbent will act as a key resource in coordinating data from multiple systems and files, providing data entry, complex data validation, reconciliation and analysis, and providing follow up actions as needed to ensure data and reporting accuracy and timeliness. The Data Analyst will work closely with Autism Program Leadership, Decision Support, and Planning and Analysis. The ideal candidate is currently working in a similar analytical role with considerable experience and advanced knowledge of Excel.

1. Community college diploma/certificate – Microsoft program(s), business
2. 1-2 years’ experience with health related software (e.g., Sovera, Meditech, EPIC)
3. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft programs including advanced Excel experience
4. Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize competing priorities, often within tight timelines
5. Superior reporting and analysis skills
6. Strong orientation to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
7. Commitment to quality improvement identification and implementation
8. Demonstrated initiative and an ability to work autonomously
9. Familiarity and experience working with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) is an asset
10. Knowledge and experience working with MCCSS and reporting is an asset
11. Willingness to participate in a criminal reference screening process
