WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
Grooming supervisor leads the grooming & heavy equipment operation team in planning and executing a variety of on mountain equipment tasks. These tasks include grooming, grading, excavating, revegetating, operating heavy equipment on steep pitches, and mentoring and training operators. When not in equipment they participate as an equal member of the Mountain Operations leadership team in solving problems, supporting our team, and achieving our goal, to provide a beautiful and sustainable landscape for both our summer and winter guests to enjoy.
- Supervise a team operating grooming equipment on steep pitches of the escarpment.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and daily guidance to Mountain Operations division.
- Perform groomer cut of slopes when primary operator is not available
- When not operating heavy equipment, the employee must participate in other general maintenance initiatives on the groomer.
- Jobs may even include waste related tasks such as hand cleaning. Operate company vehicles such as trucks and utility vehicles not only in designated areas along the bottom of the hill but also on steep pitches.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment and on mountain specialization
- Over 18 and a valid Class “G” Drivers License in good standing required
- Must be able to operate a snow cat
- Experience in minor maintenance and repair of equipment an asset
- Previous supervisor experience required
