About the role
We’re looking for a Software Developer who loves taking ownership of their work from concept to production. You’ll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team building software that powers ecommerce brands around the world. If you’re passionate about high-quality code, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to grow your skills in a supportive environment, this role is for you.
At Bold, we work with technologies like PHP, Go, JavaScript, React, and Laravel. Experience with HTML and CSS is also helpful.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to deliver solutions that bring real value to our merchants.
- Design, build, and maintain systems and APIs that scale for high traffic.
- Debug and resolve common software issues with a problem-solving mindset.
- Own tasks related to unit tests, merge requests, and production releases.
- Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle (stand-ups, reviews, retros, estimating).
- Take part in user story and requirements discussions.
- Share progress updates in relation to delivery and launch dates.
- Partner with teammates to resolve incidents and bugs quickly.
- Keep product documentation up to date and relevant.
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years of experience as a Software Developer with a strong grasp of software delivery processes.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
- Experience writing production-ready code that prioritizes testability, maintainability, security, and scalability.
- A collaborative mindset and eagerness to work with teammates across disciplines.
- Familiarity with PHP, Go, JavaScript, React, and Laravel is an asset.
- Bonus points for experience with ecommerce platforms like Shopify.
