About the Role: 

The Salvation Army Australia (TSA) is seeking a dedicated IT Program Manager to oversee our Aged Care IT program and ensure alignment with both strategic and operational outcomes. In this pivotal role, you will manage end-to-end project processes, adhering to best practice project management methodologies to deliver impactful results. 

This is a full time, 1 year fixed term, opportunity and can be based either out of Blackburn, Melbourne or Redfern, Sydney.  

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide exceptional program and project leadership, ensuring governance, high performance, and alignment with existing frameworks to deliver projects efficiently and effectively 
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and closure of Aged Care IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives 
  • Ensure project plans, methodologies, and change management practices meet TSA’s project methodologies
  • Deliver project outcomes in accordance with key parameters such as budget, timelines, and benefit realizations 
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular updates on project progress and critical milestones 
  • Effectively manage project-related risks and issues, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies 

About You: 

  • 10+ years of program and project management experience; experience in aged care is highly desirable 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management or Project Management is desirable  
  • Professional project management qualifications/certifications (e.g., PMP, MSP, PRINCE2, Scrum, Agile, Lean Sigma) 
  • Extensive experience in PMO, program, and project management, delivering cross-functional projects across the full project lifecycle, including developing business cases, managing stakeholder engagement, vendor management, organizational change management, and managing budgetary and resource constraints 
  • Proven experience in managing technology projects, especially in technology infrastructure, aged care applications, CRM, and telephony
