About the Role

We are hiring an HR Representative in India to manage global onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for new and departing employees. This role will collaborate closely with the entire HR team while also serving as a trusted point of contact for employees in the India office. We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, strong project management ability, a data-driven and detail-oriented mindset, and the creativity to improve how we work. 

Prior experience is not required — what matters is the ability to bring fresh ideas, manage HR documentation accurately, and create a positive employee experience. Over time, this role offers the opportunity to grow into broader HR operations and people initiatives, contributing to global projects and driving cultural impact across the company.

 

Reports to: Hardware and People Operations Manager, with a dotted line to the Senior HR Generalist in U.S

Location: Bangalore, India

Location Type: Office 2-3 days a week

 

What you'll do

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Drive the end-to-end employee lifecycle administration with a focus on creating seamless, positive experiences for new hires and departing employees.
  • Manage onboarding through the HRMS, ensuring accurate and timely collection of all new hire data.
  • Conduct engaging new hire orientation sessions and facilitate introductions to help employees feel welcomed and connected.
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve onboarding/offboarding checklists in our internal system (Linear).
  • Partner with managers and IT to guarantee new hires have all system and application access on day one.
  • Support exit formalities and ensure smooth, compliant offboarding for departing employees.

HR Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate employee records and updates in HR systems (e.g., bank details, insurance, personal information).
  • Generate routine HR reports from the HRMS, providing data insights to support decision-making.
  • Manage benefits administration, including insurance enrollment, claims, and employee inquiries.
  • Assist with compliance documentation for Provident Fund (PF/EPF) and other statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate and track background verification checks for new hires to ensure compliance.

Employee & Contractor Support

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees, answering queries on payroll, benefits, and HR processes.
  • Support contractors by providing invoice templates and ensuring timely processing with payroll.
  • Coordinate with banking partners for employee salary account openings.

Process Improvement & Strategic Projects

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve HR processes, documenting best practices and creating self-service FAQs.
  • Collaborate on HR projects that enhance employee experience, improve efficiency, or drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Assist with light IT/administrative tasks such as laptop ordering and onboarding logistics.
  • Provide support for local events and initiatives, contributing to employee engagement and office culture.

What We're Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in an HR or generalist role, with exposure to core HR processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the presence to engage confidently with employees and managers.
  • Familiarity with HRMS/HR tools and enthusiasm for learning new technologies quickly.
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a balance of creativity and process discipline.
  • Comfort working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
  • Preferred (not required):
    • Basic understanding of Indian labor laws and HR compliance.
    • Prior experience with HR data, reporting, or analytics.
    • Exposure to global or multicultural teams.
