Your role:
A successful candidate will be given a wide variety of both file preparation and administrative duties. File preparation will include such tasks as completing T1 (personal income tax) returns, T3 (trust) returns, T4/T5 summaries and slips, T2 (corporate) returns, and Notice to Reader compilation engagements. Administrative duties will include but are not limited to the printing and electronic filing of various tax returns.
The ideal candidate will be interested in pursuing a career in public practice, including accounting, auditing, and income tax, or someone looking for co-op experience in a fast-paced, exciting environment with a progressive CPA firm. We request that students refrain from taking courses during their co-op term.
What you bring to the table:
- Great organization and time management skills;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word;
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional;
- Ability to excel in a high-pressure working environment; and
- Experience or desire to work in a team-based environment.
Where you’ll work:
Co-ops will be based in Uptown, Westshore, or Sidney. Please indicate your location preference in the application.
Job type:
Term, January 19 - April 30, 2025.
Your schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with a one hour unpaid lunch. In March and April, hours switch to 8:00am - 5:00pm. Overtime is required during peak times.
Salary range:
$24.62/hour
