Hempel is on an exciting global digitalisation journey in People & Culture, with Workday HCM at the centre. We're looking for a Workday Specialist to join our Global HRIS team and wider People Operations team in Darwen. Coordinate yearly HR tasks like incentive programs, wage evaluations, and talent acquisition, while focusing on improving our global Workday platform.
Drive global HR processes and digital transformation
In this role, you will combine operational excellence with the opportunity to influence how Workday supports our people strategy. You will ensure smooth delivery of annual processes while leading enhancements and improvements that make our HR systems simple, scalable and effective.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting annual processes including bonuses, salary reviews and recruitment
- Configuring, maintaining and optimising Workday to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Acting as a Workday subject matter expert, guiding colleagues and sharing best practices
- Managing day-to-day operations, queries, data quality improvements and reporting requests
- Driving projects, enhancements and releases to simplify and strengthen HR processes
- Collaborating with Digital, Finance, Legal and other stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives
- Supporting training and knowledge sharing to enable effective use of Workday
Bring expertise that makes a difference
You will bring both technical Workday expertise and strong HR process knowledge, with the ability to translate complexity into clarity. Your experience with annual People processes will be critical to ensuring success in this role.
We are looking for someone with:
- Relevant Workday configuration experience (HCM or equivalent experience preferred)
- Proficiency in coordinating annual HR operations in Workday such as incentives, salary evaluations, and recruitment
- Sound grasp of human resources practices and their effects on business outcomes
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills
