Hybrid- Document Processing Associate chez Assurant

Overview of Position

The Document Processing Associate handles financial services documents on behalf of our financial institution clients. This role requires proven ability to manage deadlines and meet quality standards with accuracy and consistent attention to detail.  It also requires the use of good judgment to solve problems and make business-appropriate decisions consistent with Assurant procedures and best practices.

This role requires you to commute to our Miami, FL office location in a hybrid model: 701 Waterford Way, Miami, FL 33126

Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Operate computerized scanning machinery and programs to scan files into imaging systems for claims processing.

• Perform inbound imaging of claim documents and correspondence received via email and fax.

• Retrieve documents for various departments, remote locations, and audits as needed.

• Utilize programs to research, index, and route documents accurately.

• Conduct basic filing of paper and electronic documents, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.

• Assist with archive retention and destruction of paper and electronic documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Research undeliverable mail to determine correct recipient or address and take appropriate action.

• Review data for errors, missing pages, or missing information, and resolve any discrepancies promptly and accurately.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of documents and claims.

• May work on multiple clients with varying processes and procedures.

• Ensure team mailboxes are monitored on regular basis and handled in a timely manner.

• Retrieve documents for various departments, remote locations, and audits as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager to support operational needs.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Basic computer skills

• 1-year work experience

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to adapt well to change

• Banking, finance, mortgage lending experience

• Demonstrated ability to work successfully in an environment focused on production and quality

• Salesforce experience

Pay Range:

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
