Job Description
Join a growing team with this exciting new opportunity for a I&E Technician in our Facilities group at our Frederick, Colorado GMP facility. Work in our dynamic, fast paced, API-Biopharma manufacturing environment with the ability to contribute to the growing industry of oligonucleotide (DNA-RNA) based therapeutics.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for performing a variety of calibration, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties related to industrial process instrumentation in GMP manufacturing, utility, and laboratory areas.
- Coordination of instrumentation support activities including calibrations, emergency repairs, spare parts, and electronic asset management system.
- Support of GMP activities including authoring / reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Change Controls (CCs), Deviations (DEVs), and Corrective and Preventative Action plans (CAPAs).
- Coordination of external calibration service providers as needed.
- Provides technical support as I&E subject matter expert (SME) for engineering projects towards improvement of processing equipment, utilities, and facilities instrumentation.
- Support of industrial control systems such as BAS, PLCs, and SCADA.
A successful person in this position will:
- Support multi-discipline manufacturing processes with respect to the inspection, evaluation, calibration, repair, maintenance, installation and/or enhancement of process instrumentation.
- Be a self-starter, accountable for their activities and manage a varied workload of calibration and "on-demand" maintenance activities.
- Demonstrate a positive, service-based, "Client" first attitude.
- Work integrally with other departments and internal clients in a team environment.
- Solve complex problems requiring breadth / depth of knowledge of technical disciplines, operations, procedures.
- Communicate effectively and keep employees updated regarding the status of calibrations, repairs, and work orders (scheduled and un-scheduled).
- Treat calibrations and repairs with attention to detail and an exceptional level of professionalism.
- Have familiarity working in regulated environments (GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing).
- Have familiarity working with industrial chemical systems and processes.
- Document each calibration and maintenance activity accurately and in a compliant manner within the service database (Regulatory Asset Manager).

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- 4+ yrs related experience and/or training.
- 2-year Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to perform instrumentation calibrations and repairs on standard industrial process instrumentation including but not limited to various flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, level transmitters, load cells and scales, UV, conductivity, pH, and TOC sensors.
- Ability to perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on process and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), electrical and controls schematics, site drawings, equipment manuals, and safety procedures.
- Demonstrated communication skills, including verbal and written communication, in contact with vendors, internal customers, and employees.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Knowledge of OSHA, local safety guidelines, lock-out tag-out, and hot work permits.
DESIRED:
- Tradesman certifications and relevant process instrumentation experience.
- Experience with BAS, PLC, and SCADA systems.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to chemical fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; and high voltage electrical systems. The noise level in the work environment can vary.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least September 15, 2025 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $41.27 - $64.48/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
