We are currently seeking a proficient Senior Program Manager to join our team and provide comprehensive planning and execution in the dynamic university setting, encompassing classrooms, hospital facilities, and research labs. The selected candidate will oversee and manage the strategic planning and implementation of programs and projects that span IT, facilities management, and special initiatives. This role will ensure that the organization’s operational, technological, and infrastructural functions align with its mission to provide exceptional veterinary care, education, and research. The Senior Program Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical staff, IT personnel, facilities management, external vendors, and executive leadership, to ensure project success, operational efficiency, and alignment with our long-term goals.Job Description
The candidate must possess good team, organizational, and time management skills, be able to handle and prioritize multiple projects and be able to work under pressure. The ideal candidate must have a strong customer service orientation and a set of solid interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. They will provide in-person and virtual coordination at our Philadelphia and New Bolton Center campuses as deemed necessary. This position works closely with the Penn Vet community, including faculty and staff, to coordinate change and transformational initiatives. The position will be primarily based at the Philadelphia campus. The incumbent will be responsible for planning across both the Philadelphia and New Bolton Center in Kennett Square, PA campuses, which will require travel to both campuses. Candidate must have transportation and a valid driver's license to travel between campuses.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the IT team to identify, plan, and execute technology upgrades, cybersecurity measures, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Act as the primary planner for IT-related projects, coordinating between IT personnel, staff, faculty and external vendors.
- Coordinate with school leadership for maintenance activities, renovations, and facility expansion projects
- Develop and monitor budgets to ensure cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, define project scope and goals, and establish project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and communicate status updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Conduct feasibility studies and develop business cases for proposed special projects and initiatives.
- Implement and track metrics to measure project success and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical teams, academic staff, clients, and external partners.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Progressive experience in program management, with a strong focus on IT, facilities, and special projects, is preferred.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare, veterinary, or academic environment is a plus.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools, facilities management software, and IT systems.
- Knowledge of regulations and standards related to healthcare facilities and educational institutions.
