PURPOSE:
To support increased activity within the Human Resources function at our Big Flats manufacturing facility, we are seeking a dedicated HR Recruiter & Onboarding Support Specialist. This temporary, full-time role will focus on recruitment and onboarding efforts, helping to maintain momentum in hiring while enabling the broader HR team to focus on strategic and core responsibilities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:
Lead and support daily recruiting and interviewing activities for all site positions
Coordinate and assist with open houses, new hire orientations, and onboarding processes
Manage relationships with temporary staffing agencies to ensure timely and high-quality placements
Support managers with coverage needs, including maintaining overtime and call-off lists
Collaborate with the HR Generalist and HR Manager to ensure seamless HR operations
Track temporary employee performance and facilitate timely conversion to full-time status
Process new hire paperwork and ensure compliance with onboarding documentation
Deliver a smooth onboarding experience for both temporary and permanent hires, including regular check-ins and setup for success
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1–3 years of experience in recruitment, onboarding, or HR coordination (preferably in a manufacturing or high-volume environment)
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Experience supporting hourly workforce management is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Comfortable using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
Proactive, positive, and team-oriented mindset

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
Base starting rate ranges from $23.00 to $25.00/hr. The base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. In addition to competitive base pay, this role includes a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, well-being, and financial security
