Job Description:

What You’ll Do

As a Business Development Sales Representative, you’ll be at the forefront of expanding our reach with dealers, contractors, and industry partners. This role is designed to give you hands-on experience in sales execution, product knowledge, and field merchandising, setting you up to grow into a full territory management role.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving sales growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities.

  • Building strong relationships with dealers and contractors to ensure Techo-Bloc is always top-of-mind.

  • Supporting product launches, seasonal promotions, and trade events.

  • Maintaining brand visibility through in-store merchandising, display upkeep, and marketing material distribution.

  • Logging sales activity and customer interactions in our CRM to track progress and opportunities.

  • Assisting with order follow-ups and coordinating with internal teams for customer support.

  • Gathering market insights and competitor intelligence to inform strategy.

  • Home office based "road warrior" position.

  • Travel and accessibility throughout the State of Ohio. 

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in managing your time.

  • Comfortable working outdoors, traveling throughout the territory, and getting hands-on with displays.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 0–3 years of sales or customer-facing experience (construction/landscaping/building materials a plus).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience preferred (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus).

Starting salary for a Business Development Rep is $65,00,000 plus a performance bonus. 

However, the starting pay will depend on various factors including but not limited to relevant professional and industry experience, education, and certifications.

Employees must frequently use a computer and mobile device. The employee is frequently required to communicate with other employees and customers. The employee is occasionally required to ascend and descend steps and ladders, bend, and kneel. Frequently operates motor vehicles to perform customer and dealer visits and outreaches. May occasionally use hand tools, power tools, and/or hardscape tools. Frequent exposure to the outdoor elements takes place.
