Fort HealthCare is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, families, and businesses in Jefferson, Dane, and Walworth Counties. We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join our leadership team. 

Shift:
Full time
80 hours per bi-weekly pay period

The Marketing Manager provides leadership of a formal and inclusive marketing plan, which is consistent with Fort HealthCare’s vision, mission, and strategic plan. 

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Performs overall management of the Marketing department, ensuring an effective and efficient operation. This includes problem solving, scheduling staff, approving purchases, approving time cards, etc.
  • Conducts market analysis and needs assessments to identify and monitor the organization's competitive position, service/product offerings, competitor activities, and industry trends.
  • Establishes an organization-wide marketing philosophy under which all marketing activities are developed and managed.
  • Develops and manages implementation of and evaluates organization-wide promotional and advertising campaigns; develops, manages implementation of and evaluates service- or product-specific promotional and advertising campaigns.
  • Manages the public relations efforts of the organization, including developing appropriate processes, campaigns and messages, and directing staff in these efforts.
  • Works collaboratively with all departments, clinics and medical staff members of the organization to ensure their marketing needs are being met.
  • Serves as an organizational representative to external individuals and organizations, including actively serving on the boards, committees, etc. of appropriate organizations.
  • Oversees organizational sponsorships and donations.
  • Works collaboratively with marketing vendors to ensure budgetary needs, outsourcing of projects and programs, and more.
  • Assists HR and Administration in organizational physician, provider, and staff recruitment efforts
  • Manages Community Benefit initiatives and tracking, including executing annual Community Benefit report.
  • Performs special projects as directed by the President and Senior Vice-President for Strategic Development & Fiscal Affairs.
  • Develops annual operational and capital budgets for department; assists other departments and clinics in establishing marketing budgets as part of their overall budgets.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and provides overall personnel management of department staff.
  • Participates in the total quality improvement initiatives of the organization.

Requirements of this position include:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • A minimum of five years of marketing and management experience, ideally in a hospital or health system setting.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, with organization staff, members of the community, physicians, patients and families.

  • Consistently demonstrates a self-directed, mature, and positive approach when completing tasks.

  • Actively participates in hospital committees.
