The Operations Co-Op is a motivated, detail-oriented and results driven candidate currently pursuing, or has recently received, a degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field to gain hands-on experience in Operations. This is a part time role that is on-site Wed through Fri.
You will support daily operational tasks including data analysis, planning, KPI tracking and reporting, and support ad hoc requests to improve operating efficiency, quality, and productivity across departments.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and practices.
- Support low-to-medium complexity sourcing engagements (e.g. send out RFQs and conduct resulting analysis).
- Support ongoing supplier relationship management activities for Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Assess supplier capability, capacity, and cost to allocate annual spend to qualified suppliers optimizing for service, quality, and cost.
- Manage basic planning parameters to ensure optimal net requirements planning for CAPEX (i.e. instruments and kits).
- Manage open order exceptions (e.g. late deliveries) and place and manage purchase orders per your manager's direction.
- Track and report on Operation's KPIs and support the development and execution of strategies to address unfavorable results.
Analyze operational data and identify trends, inefficiencies, or opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support business process improvement for planning, procurement, and inventory.
- Support new supplier qualification activities.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal departments such as Engineering, Quality, Marketing, and Finance.
Document processes and contribute to SOP (Sales & Operations Planning) Process.
Attend team meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks or projects.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the Operations team.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Candidate is pursuing a Four-year Degree (B.S/B.A.) in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Candidate must have a GPA of 3.8 or higher
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including advance level Excel skills.
- Highly effective communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving process improvement and/or delivering results.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with various cross functional teams.
