Essential Functions of Role:
This is “hands on” position responsible for:
- Understand and follow all appropriate QA & USDA policies & procedures.
- Comply with all appropriate SSOP & HACP requirements
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to pick orders accurately
- Must be able to load trucks
- Provide Logistics’ Coordinator back up in the event of illness or vacation
- Must be able to ensure the department is working on the correct priorities in a timely & accurate manner
- And any other duties as assigned by his/her foreman.
Requirements:
- Supervise the Logistics crew activities, including shipping, receiving, restack & warehouse management.
- Ensure all customer orders are filled in an accurate & timely manner.
- Work effectively with the Logistics’ Coordinator on all daily activities.
- Ensure first in, first out rotation is followed (FIFO)
- Work with Logistics Coordinator, Warehouse Foreman and Department Manager to ensure the perpetual inventory records are accurate at all times.
- Comply with all the housekeeping expectations.
- Work effectively with Warehouse Foreman on the transition from first to second shift activities.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate, college preferred.
- Must have 1-2 years of experience with Hi-Lo
- 3-5 years experience in shipping, inventory control, and materials management.
- Computer Proficiency (MFG/ PRO, Excel) and detailed oriented.
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills & the ability to work with many levels of management.
- Excellent math skills.
