The VP of Information Technology at Restek will set the strategic direction for information technology with a strong focus on Cyber Security. This role requires an exceptional people-oriented leader with extensive technical expertise to navigate Restek through periods of growth while ensuring robust security measures are in place. This position is responsible for overseeing all IT resources, including staffing and budget, and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Job Duties:

  • Lead Global IT Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive global IT strategy that prioritizes Cyber Security, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business strategy and risk management objectives.
  • Oversee Cyber Security Initiatives: Direct the enterprise-wide IT function, including Cyber Security governance, architecture, information management, solution delivery, and service management. Ensure the security of the global network, storage, compliance, and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Build Collaborative Relationships: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with business leaders across the company, acting as a trusted advisor to understand and address their business needs.
  • Stay Current on Technologies: Remain updated on emerging technologies and trends. Provide guidance on the integration of these technologies to enhance the company’s security posture.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Lead the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan, with a focus on Cyber Security risks.
  • Data Privacy Compliance: Take accountability for the Data Privacy function at Restek, focusing on compliance with GDPR and other data privacy regulations. Develop and implement a robust compliance strategy that incorporates best practices.
  • Develop IT Workforce: Build and maintain a skilled IT team with a strong emphasis on expertise, ensuring the team is equipped to meet business objectives while maintaining reliable and secure IT functions.
  • Foster an Engaged Work Environment: Create an inclusive and accountable team culture, encouraging open communication, teamwork, and a commitment to best practices.
  • Drive Governance and Standards: Develop enterprise technology standards and governance processes that prioritize Cyber Security, ensuring IT delivers value and mitigates risks to the enterprise.
  • Establish Policies and Procedures: Review and implement IT policies, procedures, and service level agreements to meet KPIs and ensure a secure operating environment.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and monitor IT expense and capital budgets to support initiatives and align with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Direct the development of an IT sourcing strategy with a focus on collaborative partnerships, providing executive oversight for strategic vendor relationships.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Minimum requirement for this role is a bachelor’s degree and 15 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 8 of those years in IT leaderships and 5 years in a global environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree in information technology or a related field preferred.

Proven experience in developing and executing a forward-thinking IT strategy that includes a strong Cyber Security component to support strategic growth.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in developing and executing strategic plans that align with the company’s overall objectives.
  • Strong project management skills, with a focus on delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Deep understanding of IT systems, including compliance requirements and best practices in data management.
  • Current knowledge of relevant data privacy regulations and industry standards.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess risks and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience in high-tech manufacturing, with a clear understanding of how IT integrates with operational best practices.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, demonstrating collaboration with business leaders to leverage technology in support of business goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

 

This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement, with onsite collaboration preferred.

 

This position will require the successful completion of a standard background check in accordance with Restek policy. Employment with Restek will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
