Role Description
As the Behavioral Health Therapist, you will provide care for a range of behavioral health conditions, chronic medical issues, and adverse health behaviors by consulting with primary care to perform brief, focused assessments and interventions with patients.   You will work with Primary care to assist patients in making behavioral changes to optimize their own health.   Other services such as extensive evaluation, traditional therapy or prolonged care may be utilized where patients require more intensive services.  In this position, you will link patients to specialty behavioral health services.  

Qualifications 

LMSW or LLMSW licensure in State of Michigan

Prefer CAADC credentials for substance abuse

Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people and develop and maintain professional working relationships with site and administrative staff. 
Possess Skills in motivation, self-direction, and punctuality.
Clinical Experience with provision of mental health services in a community based setting
Knowledge of health information related to adults, adolescents and/or children
Knowledge of, and experience working in a primary care facility as a mental/behavioral health specialist preferred
Ability to work well as part of a team and keep team members updated on current projects and developments 

Remains flexible and calm while performing duties in stressful environments. Contributes to a positive and respectful workplace.
