JOB SUMMARY:
Want to work in multiple departments and really understand the operation of a ski area? The Rover position will work across the F&B, Rentals, Retail and Ticketing Departments to help assist in peak times and deliver the Monarch experience to all of our guests. This new position will report to the HR Manager, then work in one or more of those departments each day. Rovers should have a positive attitude, strive to provide timely courteous service to our guests, have a desire to understand the inner workings of the ski resort industry and enjoy moving across departments to help out where needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
A Rover’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work as a team with other departments to provide exceptional service.
- Conduct accurate and efficient sales of tickets, retail items, rental equipment and food and beverage items.
- Communicate with and assist Monarch guests in a polite and professional manner.
- Stay knowledgeable of all mountain happenings and products to assist guest with questions, bookings, and correct directions
- Maintain a good working knowledge of all merchandise at Monarch as well as general knowledge of all Monarch Mountain services.
- Restock, sort, and maintain equipment and goods in an organized manner.
- Properly fit guests with boots, skis/snowboards, helmets, and poles.
- Perform routine facilities maintenance and cleanup.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Age: 18
- Legal citizen of the United States or possess other proper work permit authentication.
- High School Diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
- Ability to push, lift, and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Requires working at high elevation (up to 12,000’), with extended exposure to adverse weather conditions, such as severe cold, heavy snowfall, rain, strong winds and intense sun.
JOB TYPE: Winter Seasonal, Full and Part Time

- Compensation: Begins at $19 per hour, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience/length of service
