Job Summary
The Level 2 IT Technician is responsible for providing advanced technical support to users both on-site and remotely. Their role is divided between regular presence at the main site in Bourges (France) and occasional travel to various sites in France, and occasional opportunities in Europe for technical interventions, deployments, or projects.
They handle the daily management of incidents and requests (Level 2), the installation and maintenance of workstations, peripherals, network connections, as well as the configuration of office and communication equipment (mobile devices). They work closely with the IT teams in France and the central IT teams in Usa to ensure the quality, continuity, and security of IT services.
With excellent interpersonal skills, they demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and a strong command of office tools, Windows environments, basic networking, as well as asset and ticket management systems. Proficiency in professional English is essential.
Responsibilities
Technical Skills
1/ Proficiency in Level 2 Support (Hardware & Software)
Advanced troubleshooting of issues related to workstations, printers, peripherals, local applications, and office tools (especially Microsoft 365).
2/ In-depth Knowledge of Windows Systems (10/11 + Windows Server)
ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to user profiles, group policies, access rights, etc.
3/ IT Asset Management Skills
Use of monitoring tools, asset management systems (SCCM, Autopilot), and hardware inventory tools.
4/ Knowledge of ServiceNow
Effective ticket handling, documentation, prioritization, and tracking of incidents/requests.
5/ Basic Networking Knowledge (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP)
Diagnose connectivity issues, configure basic equipment, and support remote access.
Deployment and Maintenance Skills
6/ User Workstation Deployment and Reconfiguration
Clean installations using system images, configuration according to company standards.
7/ Management of Printers, Scanners, and Other Peripherals
Installation, troubleshooting, consumables tracking, and network queue management.
8/ Support for Telephony and Videoconferencing Tools (Teams, Zoom, Webex, Softphones)
Workstation configuration, troubleshooting of audio/video/network issues.
European Mobility Skills (France, and occasional opportunities in Europe)
9/ Ability to Work in an International Environment
Understanding of local constraints (language, regulations, customs) and communication with stakeholders from different cultures.
10/ Proficiency in Professional English (Written & Spoken)
Ability to understand tickets and communicate effectively with IT teams or non-French-speaking users.
11/ Autonomy During Travel (Planning, Equipment, On-site Diagnostics)
Organizing travel, installing or resolving issues without immediate assistance.

Basic Qualifications
Valid driver's license required
Minimum Bachelor's degree (3 years post-secondary)
Proficiency in professional English
Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT technician role
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
On-site in Bourges
Expected: 50% travel across France and occasionally to Europe
