Vestas are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SCADA Engineer to join our collaborative team to support the techincians at our wind farms across Australia & New Zealand.
This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your SCADA programming and troubleshooting knowledge to work with a variety of skilled professionals within Vestas and the renewable energy industry.
There will be the opportunity travel to wind farms to help tend to system issues and meet with your broader team.
Power Plant Solutions APAC > SACDA ANZ > SCADA AU
SCADA & Cyber Security is a department which is a part of Power Plant Solutions under regional CTO APAC, and supports the organization in selling, installing, and servicing a large number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large sized wind power plants.
Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.
Responsibilities
- Scheduled SCADA maintenance, as per Maintenance Plan
- Unscheduled SCADA maintenance, through AFRM process via Salesforce
- Level 1 support for SCADA and OT systems at Wind Power Parks
- Onsite and remote Troubleshooting on SCADA Hardware and Software, including networks
- Installation of SCADA systems
- Action C4C/TSL/CSM tickets
- Action Work Orders on Salesforce
- Technical Documentation preparation
- Provide input into task lists, parts list and tools list
- Support SCADA engineers through onsite support
- After hours support and standby
- Be a SCADA ambassador onsite to customers and service teams
Qualifications
- Technical education in IT, Electronics or similar
- Experience in server operating systems, Windows, Linux and SQL database, including administrative functionalities
- System user of C4C, TSL, MS Office, SAP and Salesforce
- Willingness to travel regionally
- Understanding of Industrial SCADA systems
- Able to review Technical Requirement Specifications, Design Descriptions
- Knowledge and experience of networking and their configuration
- PLC programing and communication protocols (IEC-104, IEC-101, MODBUS, DNP, OPC) is a plus
- Good understanding of detailed engineering of the SCADA system, Fibre Optic Network, SCADA installations, and configuration
- Familiar with fiber optic principles and termination
- Basic English skills, both verbal and written
- Be able to collaborate across the APAC SCADA team
- Valid Driver's License
