About the Role
As the BETRS Peer Support Worker, you will have lived experience of and sustained recovery from an eating disorder. The primary purpose of the role is to provide hope for recovery and peer support for consumers accessing the service.
You will support consumers in their recovery journey by:
- Assisting with meal support and social eating outings (which requires agreeance to eating with consumers at these times).
- Lead group sessions from own lived experience and Co-facilitate other groups as appropriate.
- Provide one to one peer support sessions either face to face or via phone/telehealth.
Classifications for this position will range from MP36-MP39 ($76,086.40- $83,168.80 per annum).
Your Contribution
- Lived experience of an eating disorder.
- Sustained recovery from an eating disorder for a minimum of 2 years.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a Lived or living experience role (or equivalent type of role such as a mentor or advocate)
- Completion of (or willingness to undertake) Intentional Peer Support (IPS) Training.
