Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Engineering Support to Operations (HSE ESTO) is seeking an entry-level engineer to join the Engineering Development Program to support the production of commercial and military hot section engine hardware. HSE ESTO supports the full portfolio of Pratt & Whitney military and commercial engines, specifically turbine airfoils, combustors, cases, augmentors (afterburners) and military exhaust systems. This opportunity provides an environment that fosters development of engineering fundamentals through exposure to multiple hardware part families and engineering disciplines including design, structural, and project engineering
What You Will Do
- Responsible for quality non-conformance engineering assessments of commercial & military jet engine components.
- Participate in cross-discipline integrated product teams to provide design solutions that balance performance, cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Support proactive initiatives to improve producibility and reduce the cost of poor quality.
- Prepare and present status and technical content to CIPT, HSE/ESTO management and Program management
What You Will Learn
- This position is a part of our Engineering Development Program (EDP). EDP participants will complete three to four assignments to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program.
- In your first role (~1 year), you will be involved with various production support activities related to Turbine Airfoils in the structures discipline. Your second and third roles (~9 months each in ESTO) provide exposure to additional engine hardware and engineering disciplines.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) concepts and software
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD)
- Internship experience with Pratt & Whitney, RTX, or within the aerospace industry
- Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
- Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience
- Experience with Microsoft Office.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
