The Property Control Department at Georgia State University is seeking to hire reliable and hardworking Temporary Laborers to support our Surplus Pick-Up Crew at the Clarkston Campus.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
This team is responsible for removing, transporting, and staging surplus property across campus, including electronics, office furniture, desks, and other university assets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Safely lift, move, and load surplus items such as desks, chairs, computers, and other equipment onto box trucks.
Assist with unloading and staging items at designated surplus facilities.
Operate hand trucks, dollies, and other moving equipment as needed.
Follow directions from the Surplus Crew Lead and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with faculty, staff, or vendors during pickups.
Minimum Requirements:
High school or GED and at least one year of related labor experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry 50–75 lbs safely.
Experience in moving, warehouse, or general labor strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
Must be comfortable working in physically active role and in different weather conditions.
Familiarity with safe lifting techniques.
Prior experience with surplus, logistics, or facilities operations.
