Role Summary:
As a Project Engineer, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to execute project orders from Order Receipt to Cash. You’ll also coordinate the daily local order fulfillment activities on assigned projects. Additional responsibilities include documentation management, frequent customer communications and operations support.
Responsibilities:
- You receive and process the customer request for a pump repair or parts.
- You coordinate the follow-up with the customer, with the associated expectations, technical causes, scope of the repair and the lead time.
- You discuss the inspection report with the customer, for approval for making the repair quotation
- You register the repair order in our (ERP) system from start to completion of the project.
- You take care of the technical documentation, such as drawings, parts lists and measurement protocols and provide a punctual transfer to work preparation
- Requesting, following up and calling up parts from the customer and requesting and quotes from suppliers for new parts and the repair of parts. Consult with the internal operational disciplines about production preparation and production activities. You follow up this planning and progress internally.
- You support organizational and technical issues from the workshop regarding repair/parts orders.
- Check the documentation package for completeness after repair for correctness and completeness before archiving, invoicing and then sharing this with the customer.
- You are involved in the continuous improvement of safety, quality and productivity.
- Determine cost and delivery impact of changes to the scope of supply
Requirements
- Mechanical/Production Engineer with 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Understanding of engineering documentation, drafting, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and business groups globally
- Strong analytical, problem solving and computer skills
- Strong planning, time management and organizational skills
- Highly capable to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in engineering & design software, (preferably SolidWorks, Windchill PLM)
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Independent, practical, multitasker, flexible and communicative.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word
- Able to work well with a team
