The Employment Specialist is responsible for performing full-cycle recruitment duties while adhering to the Casino's established policies and procedures and remaining compliant with the Tribal-State Compact. Duties include reviewing, screening and processing applications, conducting interviews and confirming references, creating new hire files and extending offers of employment. Maintains applicant tracking, enters new hire information into HRIS program, tracks transfer requests of current employees and inputs employee evaluations. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager.
A candidate for this role should possess a strong understanding of recruiting best practices, relevant laws, and HRIS systems, with a deep knowledge of casino policies, FLSA regulations, and tribal-state compacts. They should be skilled in using computer software and database administration with a focus on customer service, communication, and organizational abilities. The role requires the ability to promote excellent guest service, adhere to policies, and effectively manage time-sensitive tasks while maintaining confidentiality. Additionally, the candidate must excel at multitasking, organizing workflow, and processing department paperwork accurately and efficiently.

Education:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Associates Degree in Business or related field is preferred
Experience & Requirements:
- Must have two years Human Resources experience (required)
- Experience in an Indian Gaming environment (preferred)
- One year of recruiting experience preferred
- Gaming or Hospitality experience preferred
- Must have good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite with an emphasis in Excel
- Must be familiar with an HRIS program
- Additional education and or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Must have good manual and finger dexterity
- pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must have good eyesight for prolonged periods of concentration
- Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
