FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Full/Time

Salary Range: $22.00 - $25.00

Summary: 

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver Installer to deliver, set up, and install products at customer locations. The ideal candidate will ensure safe and timely transportation of goods, proper assembly or installation, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the delivery process.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Delivery Driver Duties:

  • Load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe and timely manner
  • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction
  • Assemble, install, and test delivered products as required (e.g., appliances, furniture, electronics)
  • Communicate effectively with customers to coordinate delivery times and resolve issues
  • Operate delivery vehicles and follow all transportation laws and safety guidelines
  • Handle products with care to avoid damage during loading/unloading and installation
  • Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, and necessary documentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the delivery vehicle
  • Report any issues, delays, or accidents to the dispatcher or supervisor
  • Follow company procedures and protocols for installation and customer service

Warehouse Duties:

  • Assist in receiving, unloading, and storing incoming shipments.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring products are labeled and stored correctly.
  • Conduct routine inventory checks to report any discrepancies or shortages.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or hand trucks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols while handling materials and using equipment.
  • Assist in other warehouse tasks as assigned by supervisors.

  • Time Management: The individual effectively prioritizes tasks to manage multiple customer inquiries and issues. Completes tasks.
  • Adaptability—The individual adapts to changing customer needs, policies, and technologies. Remains calm and effective under pressure during high-volume periods. Quickly learn new procedures and systems as required. 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver, installer, or in a related field
  • Ability to operate delivery vehicles (vans, box trucks, etc.)
  • Familiarity with GPS devices and mobile apps for routing and delivery tracking
  • Physical stamina to lift, carry, and install heavy items (up to 75lbs)
  • Basic mechanical or technical skills for installation tasks
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.  

 

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, invoices, SOP, and instructions; write routine reports and correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one situations and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other employees.

 

Math Skills:    

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:   

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Identifies problems, gathers information, and offers solutions.

 

Computer Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Proficiency with email is required.  

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The physical demands and work environment described below represent the activities and surroundings of the positions.   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. 

  • Work is performed both indoors (warehouse) and outdoors (delivering goods).
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Shift hours may vary, and occasional overtime may be required.
  • The employee must be able to reach with hands and arms to type frequently throughout the day.        
  • Vision is required as the incumbent is required to read and respond to documents in hard copy and electronic form.  
  • The incumbent may regularly be required to lift and carry up to fifteen pounds of documents such as reports, invoices, supplies, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods. The employee is also frequently required to talk and hear on the telephone and in person with individuals and groups. The employee must be able to reach with hands and arms. Type frequently throughout the day. Vision is required as the incumbent is required to read and respond to documents in hard copy and electronic form.
