WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Be the face of MCR for new hires and team members; exemplify MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
- Coordinates fitting, ordering, and issuance of uniform garments for newly hired team members in an efficient manner.
- Assist guests (team members) visiting Uniform facilities; exhibits a sincere desire to assist team members and go above and beyond; anticipate team members needs and proactively offers assistance.
- Assist team members retrieving uniform garments; ensures an efficient and accurate check-out process.
- Champion preparation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of uniform conveyor system; prepare garments with tracking devices (RFID chips, tags, etc.); sort garments and accurately distributes to appropriate team member slots; ensure proper usage of garment bags.
- Receive, scan, count and accurately store new/clean garments.
- Collect, scan, count, and prepare soiled laundry for cleaning pick-up.
- Process new shipments and enter inventory; assign appropriate team members and coordinate pick-ups.
- Accurately maintains uniform room inventory to include receiving, dispatching for laundering, and shredding; performs regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and stock levels.
- Coordinate replacement garments due to normal wear and tear; ensures replacements of damaged garments, including replacement costs, are processed appropriately.
- Perform basic alternations such as sewing on buttons and other minor hand-stitching.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained; proactively communicates with manager regarding inventory needs and risks.
- Audit team member uniform assignment when off-boarding and collaborates with manager to mitigate outstanding/non-returned garments; collaborates with other HR and Payroll team members to coordinate payroll withholdings when necessary.
- Assign, maintain and audit team member locker usage; enforce team member locker room rules.
- Launder, steam, and clean approved garments in-house; assists other departments with linens as needed.
- Collaborate across the People & Talent team to champion team member engagement, recognition, communication programs, initiatives, and strategies.
- Accurately files, sorts, and maintains department documents.
- Creates, maintains, and facilitates a positive and safe work environment; promotes positive team member relations and reports issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- One (1) year of customer service experience. Uniform room or retail experience a plus!
- Ability to perform or learn basic alterations to garments including hand-stitching, replacing buttons, etc.
- Ability to use computer and uniform equipment, basic computer skills a must!
HOW YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL
- Demonstrate basic sewing and alteration knowledge to include body measurements.
- Demonstrate computer literacy.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Read, write, and speak English fluently.
