You are and always will be a student of the game regarding new/emerging technologies and how they will solve in practical application.This is a leadership role, managing technical pre-sales engineers supporting Lenovo's relationship sales teams. You will be managing technical client advisers and technical response engineers as customers look to Lenovo to provide IT solutions to address their business needs. You will be integral to the sales teams for opportunity identification, solution planning/design, and all technical elements of the sales cycle. You will be leading the team as well as Lenovo's technical arbiter with the customer and with our internal teams.This team is the tip of the spear for Lenovo as we introduce our customers and prospects to innovative solutions around our ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, ThinkStation, AR/VR, Smart Collaboration, Retail, Healthcare, IoT and Modern Deployment solutions. This role requires a strong blend of both leadership acumen and technically savvy. You will leverage your knowledge of the customer, the opportunity, and the assets Lenovo can bring to bear to deliver a best-in- class solution while gaining buy-in from key stakeholders as opportunities progress.Key Responsibilities:Territory managementOpportunity identification by presenting technical solutions to business problemsLOB expansionUnderstand and articulate best practices (Lenovo and the industry as a whole) around the PC life-cycle.Understand emerging technologies and products and Lenovo's strategies to address themSolution planning/designSet and manage expectations around solutions, internally and externallyCollaborate with customers, sales team and extended Lenovo teamsGather feedback from customers on current products and relay that to the Lenovo Business Units for improvement of future generations of product.Basic Requirements :7-10 years’ experience technical sales and consultative support in the PC IndustryPreferred Qualifications :Proven track record in managing a sales territoryHardware deployment/management best-practices knowledge requiredExtensive knowledge of the Intelligent Devices space and relevant trendsProven experience as a client sales engineer or technical end point leaderPrevious experience as leader/people manager preferredPrevious experience with social media and willingness to help grow the Lenovo brandExcellent relationship/team building skillsExcellent, professional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to present at the IT staff and senior management levelTravel up to 25%
