Description
Responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating teller training programs to ensure new and existing tellers have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide exceptional service and adhere to operational standards. The trainer works collaboratively with branch managers, compliance teams, and other departments to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across all teller operations.
Essential Functions of Teller Trainer
- Training Delivery
- Facilitate engaging and effective teller training sessions, both in-person and virtual.
- Onboard new tellers with a focus on customer service, transaction accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct refresher courses and skills development workshops for current tellers.
- Curriculum Development
- Develop and maintain teller training materials, job aids, checklists, and simulations.
- Customize training to reflect changes in policies, procedures, systems, and compliance regulations.
- Collaborate with compliance and operations to ensure training content is current and accurate.
- Performance Evaluation and Coaching
- Observe and assess teller performance during and after training.
- Provide coaching and feedback to reinforce learning and support ongoing development.
- Identify knowledge gaps and recommend follow-up training or branch-level support.
- Operational Support
- Serve as a subject matter expert for teller systems, procedures, and policies.
- Assist in the rollout of new teller tools, software, and operational changes.
- Ensure consistency in teller practices across branches.
- Administration and Reporting
- Track training attendance, completions, and participant feedback.
- Maintain training records and support compliance reporting requirements.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on training effectiveness and needs.

Adhere to established security protocols, remain alert for suspicious emails, messages, or links, and promptly report any suspected phishing attempts to the designated security contact.

Requirements
- 3-5 Years of banking experience
- Experience with curriculum development
- Ability to work collaboratively with branch managers, tellers, compliance teams and all departments
- Exceptional customer service
- Organized with attention to detail
