Job Summary:
The HVAC Service Manager is responsible for leading the service department to deliver exceptional installation, maintenance, and repair services. This role oversees daily operations, supervises technicians, manages customer relationships, drives profitability, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and fosters a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of HVAC technicians and support staff.
Oversee scheduling and dispatching of service calls to ensure timely response and resolution.
Monitor service quality and customer satisfaction, implementing improvements where needed.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to maintain high team standards.
Review and approve work orders, timesheets, and job costing reports.
Develop and enforce service procedures, policies, and protocols.
Collaborate with sales, installation, and administrative teams to streamline workflows.
Troubleshoot and provide technical support for complex HVAC issues.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable regulations.
Track and analyze department KPIs, implementing strategies for improvement.
Handle escalated customer concerns with professionalism and resolution focus.
Stay current on industry trends, technology, and product innovations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
5+ years of HVAC service experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency with HVAC diagnostics, repair procedures, and best practices.
Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field management software is a plus.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in varying environments, including extreme temperatures and confined spaces.
Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:
Combination of office and field-based responsibilities.
Some on-call, evening, and weekend availability may be required.
