Description

Vascor is offering you the opportunity to join our team where you will become an asset to the service we deliver to our customers every day. As Vehicle Inspector you will be responsible for all accountabilities of inspection of vehicles in yard setting. Inspection responsibilities consist of identifying, evaluate, and classify damages to the vehicle and recording results using a handheld scanning device.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct vehicle inspections and record results.
  • Daily interaction and communication with customers.
  • Perform ongoing process review and improvements.
  • Identify and report potential day-to-day operational quality issues and potential improvements.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Education

  • Prefer High School Diploma or GED.

Training

Training will be provided on the job.

 

Skills

  • Basic computer skills using Windows based Word and Excel.

Physical demands and work environment

The physical and mental demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

On the job the employee must:

  • Have natural or corrected eyesight capable of conducting inspections in varying levels of light.
  • Have normal range of hearing, or corrected hearing, to be able to respond to normal workplace sounds including approaching vehicles.

This position requires the following physical demands:

  • Lifting up to 25 lbs.  1-3 hrs.  throughout the day
  • Standing 6-8 hours/day
  • Walking, 6-8 hrs./day 
  • Reach above shoulder level 1-3 hrs./day and
  • Bend, Stoop, Squat, and or twist-Repeatedly throughout day

On the job the employee must be able to perform these functions on a daily basis:

  • May be exposed to excessive noise depending on job location and operations in progress

  • May be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, radiation, chemicals depending on the work location
  • Potentially walks on uneven ground
  • May be required to drive motorized equipment such as golf carts depending on the work location
  • May be required to operate a shuttle van in Releasing Yards
