Spring/Summer 2026 Intern: Mechanical Engineer chez MKS Instruments

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Power Solutions, you will partner with Technical Operations team to design, fabricate and document fixtures. In this role, you will report to the Director of Technical Operations.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Assist in the development, set-up and documentation needed for assembly fixtures

• Assist in ordering materials and building test fixtures for production

• 3-D printing parts
• Documentation reviews of new fixture designs.

Skills You Bring:
• 0 -1 Years of job-related work experience
• Ability to draw and document mechanical parts
• Ability to use excel, work, power point to document work.
• Ability to work with others and collaborate on developing solutions.
• Ability to follow directions and work on independently.

• Comfort in handing power tools and hand tools  

Preferred Skills:
• Cad
• Fabrication skills

• 3D printing experience.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
• Occasionally moves/positions objects up to (25) pounds •
