Position: Echo Tech (Cardiac Sonographer)

Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE, Four 10-hour shifts

Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

Comp Range: $41.14 - $63.40

DEFINITION OF POSITION:

Provide health care services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.  Perform ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in the field of echocardiography.  Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner.  Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.  Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited sonography program or equivalent.
2. Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in echocardiography, and/or OB/GYN, abdomen, Neurosonology, or equivalent approved certification.
3. Licensed in the State of Oregon as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
4. Bilingual in English-Spanish a plus.
5. Ability to work with culturally diverse population.
