Job Description

LEGO is on the lookout for a Sr. Manager, Supplier Development and Training to join the team. This pivotal role will lead the charge in shaping a multi-year supplier capability building strategy focused on sustainability designed to empower both external supply chain partners and internal procurement teams!
Core Responsibilities
- Drive the development and deployment of an integrated, multi-year sustainability capability building strategy for external supply chain partners and internal LEGO procurement team members
- Integrate existing supplier sustainability training ensuring “one voice” to the suppliers across LEGO sustainability activities
- Find opportunities for capability building to drive supplier performance
- Develop supplier communication and training materials partnering with other LEGO functions and leverage already existing training platforms and approaches where appropriate
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the training is continuously updated and improved to meet regulatory and stakeholder expectations
- Proactively identify gaps in supplier performance and align training strategies with supply chain priorities
- Partner with Corporate Sustainability, Responsible Operations and other teams to enhance existing supplier training and identify future capability building needs
- Align and work with the Responsible Operations region teams to train the supply base

The Sustainable Sourcing team is a global function within the centre-led, functionally driven Global Procurement organisation at the LEGO Group. Fully integrated into the company’s systems and processes, the team connects overall business strategy and requirements with global product categories and regional procurement teams to deliver optimal sourcing outcomes. Sustainable Sourcing function plays a critical role in advancing the LEGO Group’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) agenda by driving the sustainability performance of the company’s supplier base. The team and their work are embedded in our purpose, strategy, and ways of working, driving long-term value creation and supporting the company’s sustainability goals. This newly established team is structured across the three pillars of ESG: Environmental, Social, and Governance and partners closely with other functions within the LEGO Group, including Supply Chain Operations, Procurement teams, Corporate Sustainability, Responsible Operations, Legal, Government Affairs and others.
Do you have what it takes
- Education within BSc/BA, MSc/MBA on Sustainability, Business or other related field preferred
- Proven experience in supply chain, procurement, quality or sustainability roles
- Experience in designing, developing, and deploying effective training programs for diverse audiences (e.g., onboarding, compliance, continuous improvement)
- Ability to manage training programs from concept to execution, including timelines, budgets, external vendor/agency management and development of impact-driven Key Performance Indicators
- Ability to work with global suppliers, sensitivity to cultural differences and training adaptability
- Demonstrated expertise in influencing and coaching suppliers to adopt training recommendations and process improvements
- Proven experience in building, directing, and managing large projects in cross-functional environments and centralized service delivery models
- Ability to enable change across the organization, and to enroll and influence others
- Ability to connect with audiences from different functional groups (incl. procurement teams, human resources, learning & development etc.) and at different levels of responsibility (incl. senior management)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems under pressure and tight timelines, escalate issues as needed, and support leadership with strategic decision-making
The position is based in Billund, DK or London, UK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
