As the largest undergraduate program in the College of Fine Arts, the School of Design and Creative Technologies (SDCT) at The University of Texas at Austin has become a national leader in design, design thinking, game design, and creative technology innovation during its five-year tenure. Home to three undergraduate degrees, two graduate programs, a robust bridging discipline certificate The Center for Integrated Design and over 20 faculty, the Department of Design and Department of Arts and Entertainment Technologies make up the School of Design and Creative Technologies. We seek a curious, proactive collaborator to continue the SDCT’s mission of growth and innovation.
Purpose
This position provides administrative and clerical support to the Business Team within the School of Design and Creative Technologies (SDCT). The student will gain practical experience and develop professional skills assisting with a variety of administrative tasks including purchasing for SDCT, credit card reconciliation, inventory management, and document organization.
Responsibilities
Responsible for purchasing, tracking, and delivering SDCT purchases. This includes preparing OOEFS for entertainment purchases and ensuring purchases are tax-exempt.
Assist with monthly Procard reconciliation including collecting receipts, preparing support documentation, and tracking tax reimbursement and refunds.
Collect and organize documents in Box for further processing.
Help with additional duties as assigned including at various SDCT events
Required qualifications:
Successful candidates will have a professional and positive attitude, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. Must be reliable, punctual, and available to work up to 10 hours a week/2 hours a day, Monday-Friday, between 9am- 3:30pm. You will primarily be reporting to the Senior Administrative Assistant. The job is for an onsite (non-remote) position.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule.
Experience with purchasing from various vendors such as Amazon and Office Depot.
Professional attitude and willingness to learn.
Position duration:
This position is for 25 –26 Academic year. The position may have the opportunity to continue into future semesters.
Pay range:
$12/hour
Working conditions:
Typical office environment, must be able to manage and deliver packages up to 25lbs.
Work shift:
10 hours a week/2 hours per day, Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00am – 3:30pm
