Buyers at OneWater stores are passionate about delighting customers and achieving or exceeding their volume and margin sales goals by utilizing defined sales processes as part of a seamless team. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet with clients to discuss their preferences, budget, and intended use for the boat
  • Offer professional recommendations based on client requirements and current market conditions.
  • Keep up-to-date with market trends, new yacht models, and technological advancements.
  • Manage the entire purchase process, from offer to closing
  • Follows up with seller regularly to maintain interest.
  • Closes deal strongly with complete paperwork.
  • Actively participates in Boat Shows, Store and Off-site sales and customer events.
  • Adhere to budget guidelines and work within financial constraints to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Builds and maintains positive customer relationships to strengthen customer loyalty, increase referrals and enhance dealer reputation.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with boat specifications, maintenance needs, and the differences between various types of boats.
  • Ability to analyze market data, boat specifications, and financial information to make informed decisions.
  • Self-disciplined, motivated and organized


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in boat/yacht buying, sales, or a related field in the marine industry.
  • Strong understanding of the yachting industry, boat types, market trends, and valuation practices.
  • Willingness to travel for boat inspections and industry events as needed.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., marine surveyor, yacht broker) are a plus.
