BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring an EIT Engineering Team Lead to lead the implementation of complex solutions on Salesforce Health Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud platforms.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead a team of Salesforce developers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Manage and prioritize project timelines and deliverables, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements on the Salesforce platform.
  • Perform hands-on Salesforce development, configuration, customization as needed.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including sales, marketing, and EIT) to drive Salesforce initiatives and support business objectives.
  • Stay updated on the latest Salesforce features, releases, and best practices (and share this knowledge with team members.)

What You’ll Bring:

  • Salesforce Health Cloud and Marketing Cloud subject matter expertise
  • 7+ years of experience in Salesforce development (including experience leading and implementing complex solutions on Health Cloud and Marketing Cloud)
  • 3+ years of experience as an engineering leader or development team lead (ideally leading a team of Salesforce developers and administrators)
  • Knowledge of Apex, LWC and Agile development methodologies
  • Strong understanding of the capabilities and limitations of Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud)
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g. Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App builder, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II); Salesforce Technical Architect certification preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of a team with a focus on the maintenance and development of systems and supervising system modifications.
  • Assigns, monitors, and reviews progress and accuracy of work. Provides staff management oversight including hiring, promoting, or making recommendations for staff. Conducts performance reviews and assessments, manages performance, engages in skills assessment, and promotes professional development of staff.
  • Directs, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, professional growth, and ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
  • Ensures adherence to policies, plans, objectives, budgets and staffing allocations.
  • Manages and tracks team-level project details and serves as the technical subject matter expert and provides leadership during periods of transition.
  • Employees may be required to participate in a weekly on-call rotation.

 

Job Qualifications

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Sciences related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • 5 year - Experience with information technology concepts, application development and/or enterprise system maintenance methodology, terminology, and standards required
  • 5 years – Systems maintenance and/or programming experience required 
  • 3 year - Expert working knowledge of at least one programming language and/or one enterprise system in use at BCBST

 

SkillsCertifications

  • Knowledge of information technology concepts, methodology, terminology, and standards.
  • Proven Skill to develop and/or maintain an enterprise IT system
  • Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in one or more enterprise IT systems
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Microsoft Office and email skills are required
  • Adaptive to high pace and changing environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers.
  • Must be willing to adjust schedule to plan and perform maintenance and upgrades outside of business hours and be part of an on-call rotation.
