The Senior Vice President of Operations (SVP) role is focused on leading and overseeing all aspects of the organization's services. This includes strategic planning, operational management, clinical program development, and financial performance. The SVP ensures high-quality, evidence-based wound and vascular services are delivered, while also driving innovation and efficiency across all service lines.
DUTIES:
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy that aligns wound care and vascular services, also aligning with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize resource allocation, revenue cycle management, and clinical workflows.
- Manage the performance of other senior leaders responsible for day-to-day operations of the company’s programs, including monitoring staffing and resource allocation.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency reporting those results back to executive leadership regularly.
- Conduct data-driven assessments to support strategic planning, market analysis, operational effectiveness and expansion initiatives.
- Design and implement performance metrics to monitor and improve healthcare service delivery.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in operational management.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered patient care services, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and ensure all departments adhere to the established budget in order to maintain cost-effective operations and optimal resource utilization.
- Coordinate the evaluation of new technologies and treatment modalities and make recommendations to senior leadership for their adoption within the appropriate service areas ensuring successful implementation and use once approved.
- Ensure positive stakeholder engagement through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, patients, company associates, vendors and customers to promote customer satisfaction at all levels.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to patient care and safety and compliance by coordination closely with the chief compliance officer, human resources and the executive leadership team.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, related clinical field to the services provided or other degree with at least 5 years in a healthcare leadership role.
- Experience in healthcare management, practice management and, managing clinical teams and budgets.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analytics and healthcare analytics.
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance, clinical documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work well with teams, manage high stress environments and achieve stretch goals.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related clinical field with 7 or more years of healthcare leadership experience).
- Extensive experience in wound care and vascular practice management, including clinical practice management, program development and program leadership.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop, implement and achieve strategic plans and goals.
- In-depth knowledge of wound care and vascular products, technologies, and treatment modalities.
- Experience with financial management and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
