Job Description:
ASG is seeking a Senior Network Telecom Engineer. This role provides advanced network and telecommunications engineering, ensuring reliable, secure, and optimized WAN, LAN, and telephony/UC services across the global enterprise.
The engineer will serve as a Tier III escalation point and design authority, focusing on routing, switching, voice/data integration, boundary security, and RMF-compliant network sustainment.
What You Will Do:
- Leads engineering tasks for Telephony/Voice Network Support and O&M Engineering.
- Designs, implements, and sustains WAN/LAN architectures supporting enterprise connectivity and telephony integration.
- Engineers and maintains routing (OSPF/BGP), switching, QoS, and VPN solutions for high-availability communications.
- Integrates and troubleshoots VoIP/UC services, including SBCs, gateways, SIP trunks, and QoS policies.
- Configures and secures firewalls, load balancers, and boundary defense devices in line with DISA STIGs and IA controls.
- Performs change management (CAB/TRB), cutovers, and system upgrades with rollback documentation.
- Maintains network and telecom documentation, including diagrams, runbooks, and inventories.
- Supports RMF/ATO sustainment, ensuring systems remain compliant with DoD IA requirements.
- Serves as technical mentor for junior/mid-level engineers, promoting knowledge transfer and consistent best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Need:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in network/telecom engineering, with 5 years supporting DoD/DISA enterprise networks and telephony environments.
- Strong background in routing, switching, telephony integration, and boundary security.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in key tasks and high-impact assignments.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and lead major technology initiatives.
- Proven experience evaluating performance outcomes and recommending improvements that drive project success.
- Recognized as a technical expert across multiple projects or domains.
- Travel up to 25% may be required based on project needs.
Certifications
- Must meet DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security).
Clearance:
Active Secret Clearance.

- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Telecommunications, or related field.
- CCNP Enterprise / CCNP Collaboration / CCIE (preferred for senior-level engineering).
- Experience with Palo Alto / Fortinet firewalls and F5 load balancers.
- Hands-on expertise with VoIP/UC integration, E911 compliance, and SBC platforms (Ribbon/AudioCodes).
- ITIL v4 Foundation for operations and service management alignment.
