Summary
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse practices medicine under a collaborative agreement with a departmental physician, with both disciplines practicing within the scope and boundaries of State regulations. Provides reasonable and prudent medical/surgical care, practices appropriate management, and uses sound clinical judgment based on best practice standards and evidence-based medicine. Provides general medical care, patient education, and treatment to patients of CS-HHC. Promotes and maintains health by providing services under the supervision of the Department Chief/Physician.

- A nurse practitioner must have an MSN degree and current CT RN/APRN licensure. CPR certification is required.
- Nurse Practitioner with work experience and a knowledge base to perform the duties. One (1) year of experience as a health care provider is preferred; however, new graduates are welcome.
