Lifestyle & Housing Benefit: We recognize how challenging housing can be in the Hamptons, and to make life easier for the veterinarian who joins our team, we can offer a renovated two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath cottage located directly on the property. Historically used by associates, this cottage includes modern updates, a washer and dryer, utilities, and two parking spots. It is move-in ready and well-suited for either an individual or a family, and is available at a heavily discounted rate compared to typical Hamptons rental prices—a rare and convenient option for those who may not already have arrangements in the area. The cottage is currently leased until July 2026; however, depending on timing, we are happy to discuss either temporary housing arrangements or an adjusted start date for the identified candidate.
As you join our mission to provide the best pet care on the East End, expect to be supported in your work and personal life with:
- A schedule that respects your time. No on-call duties or holiday work are required! You will consistently work 4 days per week, Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch break.
- A 3:1 staff to doctor ratio. You will have the support—and respect—you need to be excellent for our patients. We’ve got your back. Our current team consists of 2 DVMs, 5 Assistants, and 3 CSRs. We offer a supportive work environment with experienced colleagues and staff.
- All the benefits you deserve—health, dental, vision, retirement—plus: sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, pet discounts, uniform allowance, CE allowance, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP), plus we will cover your dues, license fees and AVMA-PLIT!

About East Hampton Veterinary Group
East Hampton Veterinary Group has been a cornerstone of the East End since 1929, making us the oldest and most established veterinary practice in the community. For nearly a century, our hospital has provided trusted and compassionate care to generations of pets and their families. Many of our clients have been with us for years, regarding us as part of their extended family. What began as a small-town clinic has grown into a well-established, full-service practice known for blending modern medicine with the warmth of a tight-knit community atmosphere.
Today, our hospital is owned and led by Dr. Kenneth Palmer, who combines traditional veterinary medicine with homeopathic and holistic treatments such as Chinese herbal therapies and acupuncture. This balance of approaches allows us to serve a diverse and loyal client base that values high-quality, individualized care. Our facility is equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, in-house laboratories, and echocardiogram capabilities, giving our doctors the tools to practice advanced diagnostics and treatment. We provide a wide range of surgical services, from routine procedures to more advanced offerings such as TPLO and TTA, along with dentistry, acupuncture, and fear-free techniques.
We are also excited to now offer online booking, which is unique for this area and adds convenience for our clients.
What truly defines East Hampton Veterinary Group, however, is our culture. Clients consistently note how our staff treats pets with kindness and compassion, how our facility is clean and welcoming, and how they feel cared for and informed. Our doctors collaborate closely, sharing cases and supporting one another, while our strong support staff ensures veterinarians can focus on practicing medicine at the highest level. We also embrace modern conveniences like the PetDesk app and our online store, which make it easier for clients to manage their pets’ health while reinforcing our commitment to innovation and accessibility.
For a veterinarian seeking not only the chance to practice high-quality medicine but also to join a hospital culture that values collaboration, mentorship, and long-term community connection, East Hampton Veterinary Group represents an exceptional opportunity.
Who We’re Looking For

Most importantly, we are looking for a veterinarian who is excited by the opportunity to grow into leadership. This position has the potential to evolve into a Medical Director role with a clear pathway toward partnership, allowing the right candidate to shape the future of a practice that has been trusted for generations.
