POSITION: Bus Driver
REPORTS TO: Regional Manager
COMPENSATION: Hourly Rate
LOCATION: Villages at Fiskville - 10127 Middle Fiskville Rd, Austin, TX 78753 & Harris Branch Seniors - 12433 Dessau Rd, Austin, TX 78754
SCHEDULE: 20hrs per week
SUMMARY
We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious Bus Driver to operate a 14-seat passenger vehicle serving residents and guests at our property. This role is crucial in providing timely and courteous transportation services while ensuring passenger safety and compliance with all driving and property protocols.
The ideal candidate will hold a valid driver’s license, have a clean driving record, and demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills. Experience operating multi-passenger vehicles is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to)
- Safely operate a 14-seat passenger bus in accordance with all applicable traffic laws and company policies
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure all safety equipment is in working condition
- Ensure all passengers are seated and seat belts are properly used
- Follow assigned transportation routes and schedules, adjusting as needed for traffic or delays
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed
- Provide courteous and professional service to all passengers
- Maintain accurate trip logs, including mileage, passenger counts, and incident reports
- Promptly report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety issues
- Communicate regularly with property management and/or dispatch regarding schedules and updates
- Adhere to all company safety standards, protocols, and local/state transportation regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license (Required)
- Clean driving record
- Experience operating multi-passenger vehicles (Preferred)
- Ability to pass background and drug screenings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, dependable, and punctual
- Strong focus on safety and customer service
WORK CONDITIONS
You are required to work both inside and outside of the office and in all areas of the residential property, including amenities, and have frequent exposure to outside elements where temperature, weather, odors, and landscape may be unpleasant.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, the team member must be able to engage in routine physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, squatting, and using hands for typing and handling materials. The position requires the ability to access all areas of the property—both interior and exterior—in varying weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and wind.
Team members must be capable of lifting or moving items up to 20 pounds and possess adequate visual abilities, including close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel may be required for training, property support, or other job-related needs.
