In this role, the Engineer will work as part of a multi-functional team including Research & Development, and Manufacturing to develop and implement technical solutions in support of the Duracell business. These include improvements in Batch Making Processes, High Speed Manufacturing processes, Automation delivery, Vision inspection systems, and product upgrades.
Responsibilities
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Applies engineering knowledge and technical expertise to develop/design innovative technology alternatives, analyze the options, recommend the best technical solution possible to optimize the value to the business, predict performance, and support the execution of the selected option.
• Plans and executes technical learning trials that span from offline lab studies, prototyping, and process development, up through trials executed at large scale production facilities.
• Effectively operates in a team environment including the ability to communicate effectively, to build collaborative relationships, and to contribute to a healthy team culture.
• Independently driven to seek out issues and a natural disposition to challenge status quo and improve.
• Influences project direction based on analysis and understanding of project facts and needs. Able to gather and analyze data in area of responsibility.
• Sets personal direction, manages multiple priorities, and grows personal knowledge and capability to deliver expected results and meet the business need.
• Manages and sets directions for contract resources through equipment design, fabrication and start up phases.
• Follows and leverages the proper engineering tools and Duracell work processes.
• Develops deep mastery in selected areas of technology and processes.
• Actively seeks out opportunities to reduce losses.
• This position will require domestic and international travel, expected 25% - 35%.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Exposure to an industrial environment, process development, and high-speed assembly technology.
• Knowledge in the planning of trial experiments in a production environment, execution of the trials and statistical data analysis to form conclusion and recommendations.
• Experience in applying math, science, and other engineering knowledge to solve real world problems and develop robust technical solutions.
• Seeks out knowledge and can quickly grasp technical concepts and grow personal expertise.
• Manages time effectively by understanding assignment requirements, prioritizing objectives, and scheduling tasks accordingly.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• Minimum B.S. in Engineering with preference for Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in an Engineering position is a plus but new college graduates are invited to apply
