IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Medical Director
GENERAL FUNCTION: The person occupying this position serves as a member of an interdisciplinary Medical/Nursing team in the role of a Registered Nurse.
SUPERVISORY RESPOSIBILITY: None
QUALIFICATIONS; KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIRED TRAINING: The person occupying this position must hold a current license to practice in the State of Tennessee that is free of sanctions. Should be CPR certified and in compliance with regulatory CEU's. Certification or eligible to sit for certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Nurse preferred. Consideration given to five years of experience in a psychiatric setting. Working with dually diagnosed a plus. Good interpersonal relationship skills a must.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to respond in an emergency situation and meet physical and mental demands of position.
- Ability to assess and treatment in accordance t acceptable standards of Nursing Care.
- Adherence to established nursing protocols
- Clear and concise documentation in a timely manner
- Develop and implement appropriate Nursing Plan of Care
- Direct involvement in develop and execution of IEP's
- Educate and include client, family and other appropriate staff in treatment regime.
- Ability to asses for Tardive Dyskinesia via utilization of DISCUS
- Limit practice to scope defined by regulation to a Registered Nurse
- Other duties as maybe assigned.
PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS: In order to appropriately accomplish hi/her duties, the person occupying this position will be required to maintain effective relationships with the professional clinical staff and the clients of Alliance Healthcare Services.
