ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Follows health and environmental safety guidelines/procedures set for this role, including but not limited to wearing proper PPE and not operating any equipment or machinery the Team Members have not been trained to operate.
- Use the assigned PPE and follow the PPE guidelines set by the business.
- Follows all EHS guidelines while leveraging principles from operations management – such as planning, control, coordination, to optimize project execution.
- Serves as the liaison between the steel plant and the other manufacturing sites in managing production, deliveries, and inventory of finished goods.
- Manages the production schedule to ensure proper supply of raw materials to the production lines.
- Manages the internal manufacturing supply of raw materials to the production lines in accordance with the production schedule.
- Liaises with other internal departments to ensure standards are met as quality, manufacturing timelines and on-time delivery of our products.
- Effectively communicates with the internal customers from other manufacturing sites any issues arising with the production schedule, inventory, and delivery of finished goods.
- Operates with a strong orientation towards customer service while managing internal and external stakeholder expectations.
- Prepare internal reports pertaining to job status and other data or information relevant to the projects assigned.
- Escalates any issues or potential issues between internal departments to correct any issues pertaining to the project.
- Creates and reviews drawings for accuracy and makes recommendations.
- Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or a senior member of the management team necessary for the operations of the department and the business.
EDUCATION
- BS in engineering, engineering management or any other related field
- AA degree and five years of experience in a business, construction, or manufacturing environments
EXPERIENCE
- Five years of experience in a construction environment and performing a project management role.
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience in managing an ERP system.
