Position Summary
We are seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our leadership team at Joe’s Waterfront. The AGM will partner with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure service excellence, and lead a high-performing front-of-house team. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader with strong business acumen, a hands-on management style, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the GM in managing all aspects of restaurant operations.
- Lead, coach, and develop FOH team members to deliver outstanding service.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
- Assist with scheduling, payroll, inventory, and cost control.
- Act as Manager-on-Duty, ensuring seamless service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Resolve guest issues with professionalism and urgency.
- Partner with the culinary and bar teams to execute seasonal menus and specials.
- Contribute to community engagement and local marketing initiatives.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience as an AGM or FOH Manager in a high-volume, full-service or upscale casual restaurant
- Strong leadership presence and the ability to lead by example in a hands-on environment
- Excellent communication, team-building, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in POS systems, labor management tools, and restaurant financials
- A guest-first mindset with a passion for creating welcoming and memorable dining experiences
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
