- Develop and execute NCAA rules education plan for staff, coaches, student-athletes, and other athletics stakeholders.
- Implement, control and monitor procedures for student-athlete recruitment (e.g., official and unofficial visits, contacts and evaluations), provision of awards and benefits (e.g., complimentary admissions, occasional meals), playing and practice seasons (e.g., time management plans, CARA logs) and other areas.
- Oversee third-party and/or institutional NIL activities where applicable, including education of staff, coaches, and student-athletes, student-athlete and institutional disclosures, and maintenance of the Holy Cross Name, Image, and Likeness policy.
- Maintain a strong monitoring program that ensures compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.
- Provide NCAA rules interpretations to various constituencies. Prepare violation reports, waivers and legislative relief requests as needed.
- Assist in preparation of NCAA reports, including Sports Sponsorship and Demographic Form, Academic Progress Rate and Graduations Success Rate.
- Maintain compliance with all NCAA rules including those governing name, image, and likeness; conduct and employment of athletics personnel; amateurism; eligibility; recruiting; financial aid; awards and benefits; and playing and practice seasons.
- Certify initial and continuing eligibility for incoming and returning student-athletes..
- Manage the NCAA Transfer Portal, including educating and inputting student-athletes, providing support to coaches accessing and evaluating transfers, as necessary.
- Oversight of department clinics programming, including partial oversight of Assistant Director of Business Operations in their role assisting with clinics management.
- Manager rosters and participation records in College database and ARMS compliance software.
- Monitor compliance with Patriot League and institutional rules and regulations.
- Sport supervision as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree or J.D. preferred; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations also required.
- Minimum of three years-experience with NCAA Division I compliance is recommended.
- ARMS experience a plus.
