Delivery Driver/Mover (Non-CDL) 24 hours

Reports to: Residential Facilities and Fleet Manager
Hours: 24 hours per week maintaining a typical schedule of 9-5 Monday through Wednesday, with an option of adjusting as needed
Location: Wellspring Living retail and program locations; various areas across metro Atlanta
Position Summary:
The Delivery Driver/Mover is responsible for the pick up and delivery of household and commercial goods from donors to and from the retail stores and/or programs as well as supporting the retail stores and Residential and Facilities Fleet Manager as needed. Delivery Person must be organized, efficient and professional at all times while ensuring deliveries are made accurately and on time.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Transportation of Goods
Transport lightweight-to-heavy household goods, materials, and commercial equipment by hand or with assistance of material handling equipment, such as a hand truck or dolly from origin to destination
Drive delivery truck to designated pick-up and drop-off points around the Metro Atlanta area
Pack and crate valuables for safe transport, such as artwork, antiques, dishes, or other fragile and hard-to-move items
Actively manage the daily maintenance of the official Wellspring Living truck in accordance with DOT standards, including physical upkeep and inspection for defects before and after trips and maintaining DOT daily log book
Maintain flexibility with last minute changes to daily schedules, and be prepared to solve challenges in regards to the transportation of the different varieties of goodsProvide and collect in-kind donation paperwork in accordance with Wellspring Living best practices
Program and Retail Facilities
Assist with the moving and installation of furniture, large appliances, and donations as well as assisting with smaller maintenance and repair projects at program and retail store locations as needed and when available
Customer Service
Present a friendly and professional demeanor for customers and donors as a representative of Wellspring Living
Maintain an attitude of gratitude for all incoming donations
Work to resolve service issues as they arise with both customers and donors
Clearly articulate the mission and vision of Wellspring Living along with a brief overview of all that Wellspring Living offers
Share information and collateral about the Wellspring Living mission and retail stores when appropriate
Healthy Living
Develop intentional connections with donors, customers, volunteers, and staff members
Provide direction and encouragement to volunteers and staff
Embody the spirit of a lifelong learner
Professional Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Minimum 2 years of driving experience for a commercial business, with experience driving a large vehicle such as a 20’ box truck
Moving experience preferred
Strong administrative, organizational, and computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word and Outlook) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs)
Position Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing pre-employment background checks, including criminal history, fingerprinting, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to ongoing compliance with these checks
Possession of a valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record are is required and must be maintained throughout employment
Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person’s capability of performing the position's duties and the person’s suitability to work with or around children and vulnerable populations
In possession of a current Medical Examiner's Certificate or pass an official Department of Transportation physical to obtain one
Working Conditions
Moderate local travel required related to program and training needs, as well as occasional travel beyond the metro Atlanta area
Must be able to frequently lift and move objects up to 80 pounds; handle, reach, pack, assemble, and operate objects, tools, controls, and vehicles; work seated and upright for long periods; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk
