The Lead Registrar will work with the Patient Access Management Team and department staff to ensure a smooth and orderly work flow as required to maintain our organizational Customer Service Standards, Departmental Standards, Departmental Promise, and our Financial Key Point Indicators.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Responsibilities

• Provide input to management team as it relates to the coordination of staffing
• Provide orientation and training as needed to ensure staff compliance
• Conduct quality assurance activities daily
• Provide assistance to staff members who are registering patients or assisting their family members in the ECC
• Act as a liaison with Patient Financial Services, Medical Data Services and Patient Representatives in scanning of documents, identifying and resolving issues and maintaining current knowledge with insurance requirements. 
   

Education/Accredited Programs

• List High School Graduate
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in a medical office and/or similar setting, to include knowledge of insurance
• Associates degree preferred, but not required

Skills/Abilities

• Proficient in keyboarding, ability to use computer, fax machine, printer and credit card machines
• Microsoft Word and Excel preferred, ability to learn
• Medical Terminology
• Ability to read, analyze, interpret medical and business documents, policies & procedures
• Ability to effectively communicate sensitive informational documents
• Ability to pay common sense understanding to carry out instructions, and deal with problems effectively

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $19.00 to $28.50 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
